The growing global concerns over increasing concentration of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the earth’s atmosphere, rise in earth’s temperature, depleting fossil fuel reserves, and the critical necessity to neutralize their impact on the people, planet and economy demand for immediate action.
We are a purpose-driven and professionally managed organization, founded by a group of experienced Engineers and Management professionals, with a rich work experience in the field of clean-tech and climate advisory. Our team comprises experts from clean energy, forest, climate change, and finance.
We are working on a series of climate-smart technologies and solutions which aim to reduce GHGs emissions, minimize the adverse impact of climate change, improve our energy security, and decarbonize the carbon-intensive economy.
What we do?
Limiting global warming is the need of the hour. To restrict the temperate rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius, we must cut down the GHGs emissions by at least 50% of the current level by 2030, and reduce to net-zero by 2050. Our work is centeredaround the solutions and services which contribute to the net zero goal and stabilizing the earth’s environment.
We provide tailored climate solutions and services to corporates, national/state governments, city administration, MSMEs, and NGOs. Vijay Shankar
Director & Head- Climate Action
Vijay is an Engineering Graduate with 15+ years of diverse work experiencein Clean Energy, Climate Change, and Carbon Advisory. He has worked with reputed organizations like DCM, Deloitte, Green Infra Ltd., SembCorp, UNDP, and WRI. He has cross functional knowledge and has deep understanding of Policy/Regulation, Decarbonization Strategy, Climate Finance, and Carbon Market/Mechanisms (AR-6 / CDM / GS / VERRA / GCC / REC / IREC / Compliance / Voluntary). He has managed more than 200 MW Green PPA, the entire cycle of more than 100 carbon projects and carbon credit transactions worth INR 400 million.
Tapan Pradhan
Head- Energy Efficiency
Tapan is an Engineering Graduate and a BEE Certified Energy Auditor. Hehas over 16+ of diverse expertise in energy management. he helps corporates & governments to enhance efficiency across industrial processes, buildings, and thermal power plants and reduce energy expenditure. Tapan has managed more than 250 Investment Grade Energy Audit assignments across the globe and helped industries/corporates to save energy and power expenditure. His meticulous approach enables him to identify energy-saving opportunities and deliver effective solutions.Tapan has worked with DSCL/DESL. and Smart Joules.
Kunal Jain
CTO & Head- Climate Modelling
Kunal is an Engineering graduate from Delhi College of Engineering and a post-graduate in applied statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. He has over 15+ years of experience in mathematical and climate modeling and handled many critical modeling works (Flood modeling/Risk modeling) for countries like India, China, Brazil, Switzerland, etc. His expertise/specialization includes co-relating and converting climate data and projections into corresponding economic impact on human settlements. Before joining CLIMATEX, he worked at RMS (Moody's company) for more than twelve years.
Himanshoo Khare
President- Business Development
Himanshoo is an engineering graduate with an MBA in marketing. over 20 years of diverse experience in the Renewable Energy and Carbon segment. Himanshoo has a thorough understanding of various clean energy technologies such as Solar, Wind, BioCNG, and Green Hydrogen. Before associating with CLIMATEX, Himanshoo worked with Suzlon Energy Ltd as Head of Emerging Markets ( SEA Middle-East Africa ) Enercon India Ltd - Business Development Head, and Inductotherm India Ltd.
Naveen Kumar
Head- Products & Strategy
Naveen is an engineering graduate with a Management degree from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM-Calcutta). He has over 15+ years of experience in Business Development, Analytics, and Product & Strategic management and has an in-depth understanding of technology applications in the Sustainability/Energy management/Renewable energy sector. Before joining CLIMATEX, he worked with reputed organizations like Infosys and Cisco.
Smita Jaiswal
Head- Validation & Verification
Smita has a Master's in Environmental Science & Technology. She has 12+ years of experience in the carbon advisory domain. Before joining Climatex has worked with Abellon Energy Ltd. She has comprehensive knowledge of various carbon standards/mechanisms and has managed the entire project cycle of more than 50 carbon projects. Her deep understating of the carbon sector makes her an invaluable member of the CLIMATEX team.
Shreedhar Mohan
Project Analyst
Shreedhar is a Computer Engineering graduate with 5 years of experience in database management, Website design, Networking, Cloud, and CMS/CRM. His experience helps us in data extracting/archiving from the different relational databases used on the client side. Data extracted without loss helps us in generating the appropriate sustainability matrix for the client. He is also instrumental in managing the operational part of the carbon projects like DMRV.
